Description

Bacteriostatic water for laboratory reconstitution — sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol added as a preservative, so a single multi-dose bottle can be used across several preparations. The standard diluent for dissolving lyophilized research peptides to a known concentration.

Supplied as a 30 mL sterile multi-dose solution (water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol preservative) for laboratory research use only — shipped domestically from Ontario, Canada with tracked Canada Post delivery and room temperature (15–30°c), protect from light handling. A Certificate of Analysis is available on verified request.

N° 002 — How It Works

What Bacteriostatic Water is and how it's used.

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol added as a preservative. The benzyl alcohol inhibits microbial growth, which is what lets a single 30 mL bottle serve multiple reconstitutions over its working life — unlike preservative-free sterile water, which is intended for single use. In the lab, the diluent is added slowly down the inside wall of a lyophilized peptide vial to dissolve the powder; the resulting concentration is simply the peptide mass divided by the volume of water added.

N° 003 — Laboratory Use
